Your Daily Brush: The Sunday-Monday Review to Recommit & Reconnect
Look back and review. Look ahead and recommit to brushing your mind!
Dear Friends,
Happy Start to the New Week!
Look Back and Savor the Uplifts
I invite you to take a moment to reflect on the past week:
What energized or delighted you?
What brought you peace or a sense of meaning?
Plan for the Week Ahead: Action Point
What would you like to carry forward into the coming week?
What small actions can support your emotional well-being?
What uplifting moments can you intentionally plan?
To increase the chances of turning good intentions into action, jot down the answers to the above actions in your calendar. Make appointments with yourself in support of your mental hygiene.
Anticipate Challenges and Be Proactive
Are there any potential bottlenecks or stressors ahead?
How might you meet them with calm and clarity?
Reward Yourself for Self-Care
What small reward could you plan for your week of intentional self-care?
Nurture Connection
Who do you want to reach out to in the coming week?
Is there someone you could meet in person to share joy with?
Is there someone at work you appreciate and want to connect with more deeply?
A Micro-Meditation to Start Your Week
Pause for at least 30–60 seconds and look around you and focus on something uplifting or beautiful.
Notice shapes, colors, and patterns and let the sense of peaceful awareness permeate your being.
You can also use the image below as a focal point for your micro-meditation. Notice the contrast of colors and textures. What do you think of the striped stones?*
As you do your micro-meditation, remember to take deep breaths and exhale longer than you inhale.
When you do the above, you are practicing mental hygiene!
To your health!
*Swiss friends, does this remind you of something in Ticino? :-)
