What began years ago as a love of photography evolved over the years into something deeper—mini meditations that connect people to peace. Along with this, I began pairing videos with music—like pairing wine with food, always looking for the right combination.

When life took me to what I call the “mountain monastery” phase of my life—in a small village in the Swiss Alps—that became place where my videography developed further. After living there for about a year, I began making and sharing videos—time-lapse of the sun and clouds to cable car journeys of ascents and descents.

To my surprise, friends like Jen, Gena, and Sher shared how my videos offered them a much-needed moment of calm—a pause in the hectic pace of their busy days. Even my friends who rarely commented, like Lynne, David, Dayna, Julia and Malini, later told me they noticed the videos and how much they liked them.

Since moving to San Francisco, my filming opportunities have changed, but my love for creating these “homemade ” versions of video meditations hasn’t. They may not be polished, but what I discovered is that they touch souls.

So I am sharing them here in the hope that they bring you moments of calm and manybe even an uplift—and help you stay sane in an insane world.

If you liked the video above, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks for watching and thanks for sharing with your friends!
P.S. If you happen to be on Instagram, you can find more of my mini-meditations there under Dr SD Shanti
